Over the past few weeks, the Preps have been exploring many different types of counting books and stories that have number concepts embedded. Some have used counting in a story context. Others use numerals and illustrations. We read one that used black and white  photographs and included number words, numerals and collections of dots! The Preps have been busy

This week, the Preps were introduced to another story book that involves counting. ‘If one is a snail and two is a person, we must be counting by feet! Just follow the sign to the beach, where a bunch of fun-loving crabs, lounging dogs, gleeful insects, and bewildered-looking snails obligingly offer their feet for counting

On Friday the 27th May Gold House will be holding A Day in May which supports Challenge, an organisation that provides assistance for children with cancer. The money we raise goes to providing music therapy sessions for children who are diagnosed with cancer. On the 27th May please bring a gold coin donation and dress

It is a good idea to keep a spare pair of pants in your child’s locker. They may never need to use them but it is a good thing to have available, just in case they need them.
