Dear members of the 5/6 community, This year we welcome Jeff and Sarah as new members of the 5/6 team. The term has begun in a smooth and very positive manner which is a great credit to everyone. We look forward to an exciting term with the first big event being next week’s swimming carnival.
You will noticing reading books coming home over the next week, and hopefully will have some opportunities to share these books with your children. The purpose of the take home books is for children to practise their reading strategies at home. The text they will bring will be a ‘just right book’. A ‘just right book’ is one

As part of our Sun Smart policy, students are required to wear broad-brimmed (minimum of 7cm brim) or legionnaire hats whenever they are outside (eg recess, lunch, sport, excursions) in Terms I & IV. Students who do not have hats will be spending lunch and recess under the covered area outside the Art room /
The Preps borrowed their first book from the Junior School Library on Thursday. The books can are found in tubs organised by colour along one of the walls in the library. The Preps either took a Green or a Blue book home on Thursday. Books do not need to be swapped every night. Good practice involves borrowing a book and reading
