Literacy – Week 7
Last week in Literacy the students continued their review of reading comprehension strategies. The two strategies we focused on were questioning and monitoring. The students also developed their understanding of how ideas can be sharpened through the careful choice of verbs and adverbs. The development of their independent writing was one area where this was applied. The students are encouraged to submit their edited handwritten draft, complete with an editing check-list and their typed final draft.
