Maker Week is Coming!

This week in the 5/6 Neighbourhood, we have been getting very excited about Maker Week. To get ready for next week, we have been brainstorming and experimenting with all sorts of high and low tech such as cardboard and lego construction, oz bots, Makey Makey, Hummingbird, Scratch, Little Bits and more. Our plan is to come up with projects, which combine several different types of materials. For example, some students are building an interactive cardboard robot, which will be powered by the Hummingbird computer chip and programmed using their laptops. Others are planning on building interactive games, which will use Makey Makey to receive input from the physical world but be played on a virtual environment using the computer language Scratch.
