Happenings

We are moving into the middle week of a very busy term two. Students have participated in Family Life sessions and have started their African Drumming Workshops. NAPLAN testing took place this week, the students who participated need to be congratulated on their focus and effort during the testing this week. Students have continued to develop their leadership skills through the buddy program.

Interschool Sport

The winter season of interschool sport started last week, the sports students are playing are netball, tee-ball, soccer and basketball. Interschool sport lasts for six weeks. Soccer and tee-ball are played at Princes Park, basketball is played at the Coburg Basketball Stadium and netball is played at the State Netball Centre in Parkville. Students leave at 1pm and return to school by 3:30pm.

Education Week

Next week is Education Week with a focus on Technology. At Princes Hill Primary School we will be celebrating with a Maker Week which will culminate in a Maker Event and open day at the school on Friday 20th May from 2.30 – 3.30pm. The Walkathon is on Wednesday 18th May.

Camp

This year our camp will be held at Valley Homestead in Ovens from 14th – 17th of June. Expressions of interest were sent home today and we ask that these be returned by Monday 16th of May. If you have any questions about camp please speak to one of the teachers.
