Numeracy
We had an exciting week in numeracy in the 5/6 neighbourhood. We revised our 2d shapes and then used the computer language scratch to generate code, which would draw some of them. Quite a few of our students took up the challenge to write a program, which would instantly generate a regular polygon of any given number of sides. We saw some really fantastic brainstorming and sharing of ideas. We will be increasingly incorporating coding into our numeracy lessons.
Another highlight of the week was the chocolate cake challenge. Ask your kids about it!
