Numeracy Our students have been continuing to explore how they can self-assess their mathematical knowledge, this week focusing on statistics and probability. We have also been continuing to target students’ ability to calculate area and perimeter. Here is Louie working out the area and perimeter of an irregular polygon.

Numeracy This week students in the 5/6 neighbourhood signed up to numerical acumen. Numerical acumen is an excellent resource for developing numerical thinking strategies. There are a wide range of topics around addition, multiplication and fractions. We have all entered the Numerical Acumen Semester 1 Challenge, which will allow us to compete for (virtual) medals
