On Monday, the Preps participated in a workshop where they learnt how to use a story board to illustrate a meaningful sequence of events. The idea of telling a holiday story wasn’t necessarily to draw lots of different things that they experienced throughout the holidays but more to think of one event in particular and then sequentially describe what happened with their illustrations.
First, Maddy modelled one of her holiday stories on the board so demonstrate how an event is made up of many parts. The Preps choose one event from their holiday and thought about all the details that they could be include. Then they started their own and have continued working on them during provocation time throughout the week. They are looking fantastic. We are working towards creating their first published story book.
