HPE Update (Week 3 – 4)

5/6 Neighbourhood – The kids have been enjoying taking part in a range of sports and activities which have been chosen by them. There has been excitement to use the basketball rings again this week!

3/4 Neighborhood – The 3/4s did a terrific job reading their activity plan instructions (planned by their peers), worked in pairs to set it all up, and took part in them. Each station was planned with the intention of practicing a specific skill. This week they have been learning a new sport – Tchoukball.

Junior School – The Year 2s have been practicing their overarm throwing skills through team games involving aiming tennis balls at cricket stumps. This week we have switched focus to soccer skills – kicking and dribbling. They learnt a new game called Kick Ball. The Year 1s have been practicing their fundamental movement skills through taking part in activity stations. The Preps have been learning some new jumping games to play in groups with a skipping rope and have enjoyed taking part in imaginative games (dinosaur nest and zombies and medics! A spooky Halloween themed game).
