PREP: The Preps have been learning all the important things they need to know about Sport class. They learnt that the whistle means ‘Stop, look and listen’ and played some fun games to practice this. The preps learnt a much loved tagging game in the Junior School, Crocodile Crocodile – they learnt the song and how to play the game. They also have had the opportunity to explore the different types of equipment used in sport sessions.
YEAR 1: The year ones are doing learning simple throwing and catching drills that improve their eye coordination. The game they learnt this week is Frogs and Crocs!
YEAR 2: As there was a lot of interest in the Australian Open, the year 2s are learning the forehand strike. Before using the rackets, students had to get their Racket license through passing a series of questions relating to racket safety.
34N: TThe 34s took part in a series of team challenges. Activities involved teamwork, memory and target practice. They worked collaboratively with their group to invent their own team challenge. Students testing the effectiveness of their activity, students had to come up with solutions to challenges to ensure that it worked and was fun to take part in! They presented their challenge to the group and then played each others games.
