The preps have been busy creating short stories during projects and provocation time.
We were inspired by the story – Max the Brave. The students created their stories with a similar pattern and applied their knowledge of different animals and their habitats to create a meaningful story.
The Preps recreated a story, choosing their main character to be an animal of their choice. A story plan was created using the story board proforma. This process helps the students to sequence their story and guides them when illustrating their published book.
Some of the stories created have been read to the neighbourhood after provocation time when we have shared our learning.
The stories are transcribed when each student shares their story with a teacher or parent helper.
The transcribed stories have been typed up (Thanks to Karla, Thomas’s mum) and are currently being stuck into their miniature story books.
