This week in literacy there was a spelling focus which involved the students investigating silent letters. This is in addition to the individual spelling focus each student has each week. The students have been asked to identify the strategies that will help them improve their spelling.
In reading this week the students have been investigating the features of brochures and how these features support the purpose of each brochure.
Each student has also begun planning a piece of writing. They have considered the different genres, their purpose and how to engage the reader in their topic.
The 5/6 Team
