  • Subitising (recognising how many are in a collections)
  • Counting forwards and backwards
  • Days of week.


  • Shared reading experiences with Big Books. There is a focus on learning strategies that can support their reading. For example – using illustrations, rhyming words, making predictions and following the repetition
  • Guided reading, buddy reading, independent and paired reading.


  • Modelled and independent writing – reflection after learning agreement
  • 100 days of Prep – ‘On day ____ I….. ‘


  • Observation of Tomo’s ‘happiness’ presentation
  • Presentation workshop – to prepare for their sharing experience
