Thank you to all the children who dressed up for the Book Week Dress-up Day. The children and teachers looked fabulous. We had a wonderful parade and Book Week Assembly.
The children and teachers brought along their favourite books to share with each other. Throughout the week we read many of The Children’s Book Council of Australia short-listed books of the year.
One of the picture books we read was “When Billy Was a Dog” and we did the the thinking routine ‘Step Inside’. This routine helps the children to develop their understanding of characters and the character’s feelings and motivations.
The children responded to three different characters, Billy, Fluffy and Mrs Banerjee.
