After so many weeks of online learning we are thrilled to all be back at school with the children! The children have settled in extremely well. Happy to be back with their friends and teachers in the familiar surrounds of the year 1 neighbourhood.
Our focus this week has been settling the children back into the school environment and giving them the opportunity to bring in their amazing work from home to share with their friends and teachers. The children brought in their incredible maths games that they created during online learning. Theses pieces of work really showcased just how capable the children are in their creative thinking. Each child had their own unique concept for their game and the level of attention given to the design and overall presentation was truly astounding. Their games demonstrated their ability to write procedural texts through the writing of game rules and provided an opportunity for the children to show their mathematical understandings.
Along with sharing maths and science projects from home the children also engaged in a range of provocations focusing on their time at home and their wellbeing.
