Ciao a tutti!…..what a delight to welcome back the prep, year 1 and 2 students to face to face Italian learning! We’ve been enjoying getting back into our routines of cerchio e come stai? (checking in on our feelings in Italian), dancing, viewing, exploring and responding to new Italian vocabulary. We discovered that Simone the rabbit can also speak italiano, as he taught us to say ‘giallo come il sole’, ‘rosso come un pomodoro’, ‘verde come i piselli’. We are learning to say the names of some common ingredients in Italian foods and have noticed that they look a little different in the plural (for example pomodoro-pomodori, pizza-pizze). Together we are enjoying exploring la gastronomia italiana….many examples of which we can see at home and in our local community! Buon appetito!
