Welcome back!
We hope you had a safe and restful holiday. We have loved hearing all about the exciting things our 3/4’s saw, ate, explored, learnt and did.
Here are the key learning focus’ for this week.
- Project groups: working together to investigate a problem around the school we would like to change.
- STEM challenge: problem solve and work together to create tall towers with limited materials and limited time
- Reading Response: reflecting on our holiday reading and texts we interact with outside of novels and stories
- Capabilities: Looking at our key capabilities and ways they impact how we react to situations and respond to challenges
- Scientific Drawing: observing, labeling, describing and drawing the objects around us, anything from a piece of bark to our shoe to a robot from the media room!
- Agents of Change: people are instigators of change. This week we are looking at what we already know about the people that make changes happen and how they change the world around them
- Snapshot Memory: Holiday’s now over students are invited to write a 6 word memoir that tell us about their holiday highlights. With only six words allowed, every word needs to work in a number of ways!
- Digital Footprints: What is a digital footprint and how does that shape the way we act online? What are our current digital footprints!?
- Year 3 camp preparation: bags are almost packs and excitement is high!
Hope you have a wonderful week,
3/4 Team
