Over the past few days in the Prep Neighbourhood we have been talking about personal strengths and reflecting on how we show these strengths in our day to day actions. On Monday the children took part in conversations where they openly reflected on traits such as being helpful, friendly, kind and persistent and considered how these traits have supported both themselves and those around them.
During a workshop session the children each created their own ornament identifying a trait they feel they show and matching picture to hang on our Friendship Tree.
Pro-social skills and awareness of emotions are incredibly important for all of us in our daily lives. In the Prep Neighbourhood we strive everyday to support children to develop such skills in a positive environment where kindness and consideration of others is celebrated!
If you have a few minutes to spare at drop off time in the morning you may like to help children to attach their ornaments to the Friendship Tree.
