What an incredible last few days we have all had at this year’s 3/4 school camp in Anglesea!
We have returned to school today with many memories, plenty of photos and videos, exciting experiences and of course tired bodies! But all in all a fantastic camp with many students – and parents – saying it was one we’ll never forget.
Firstly, THANK YOU to those parents who came supporting the teachers and ensuring the programs were run smoothly – without you, the camp wouldn’t have happened. From the late night sleepers to your involvements with each and every activity, you supported and encouraged all students and providing them with experiences they will never forget.
Over the next two weeks (as students and teachers regain their energy) the students will be engaging with a series of camp reflections. Here, they will have the chance to reflect on what was their most enjoyable part of the camp, what personal goals they achieved, how they connected as ‘one community,’ worked through problem solving situations as a team, better understood their peers outside of school (walking in other people’s shoes), what mathematical concepts they connected with and many more…
In the coming days, you will see some of these reflections posted on the blog from the students themselves.
Lastly, the 3/4 team would like to invite you to the Week 8 Assembly (September 8) where the students will be showcasing their school camp to the rest of the school. The assembly will include the many photos taken, personal stories and experiences, video interviews, reflections plus more!
3/4 Team!
Reminder: If you are missing any camp lost property that did not come home, we have a small pile of bags/clothes/toiletries/camp items stored in Neighbourhood 2. This also goes for students who provided Jared with any medical items – come and see him at any time.
