As you may know, one of our school values at Princes Hill Primary School is that students are “strong and capable children“.
In the prep neighbourhood, we believe that the children are on their way to becoming independent learners. This means organising their possessions, knowing where to be, using the correct tools required and packing up after themselves.
We would like to build a sense of independence as part of their morning routine. We believe that part of being independent means that the children are capable of calmly coming into their home group room with their own bag and putting it away into the lockers by themselves. We ask that parents to support us in building their independence by passing on the responsibility to them for these morning routines.
