The Preps began their first day of term 3 with such excitement and enthusiasm. It was lovely to hear them chatting together about what they got up to. This morning, the preps had Projects and Provocation time. The children chose the space that they wanted to work in and participated in learning experiences that were all about the holidays.
Performance space – Claymation of a holiday experience using the stop motion technique on the iPad. Use the Lego coding program to build something from their holiday.
Learning Commons – Create a postcard featuring a place visited on the holidays. Make a holiday story book. Design a survey to carry out to find out information about popular holiday experiences in the neighbourhood. Build something from your holiday using blocks
Art studio – Use clay to make a model of something from the holidays. Paint a picture an event that you enjoyed. Draw a picture of something you saw using oil pastels.
The Preps will continue these provocations tomorrow to explore other forms of expression.
