Welcome back to Term 3! We have a lot of exciting things ahead this term.
Camp Forms
First up, Camp is now only 6 weeks away! So we need all outstanding camp permission forms and completed medical forms so we can finalise the details for Angelsea.
Neighbourhood 1 Earn and Learn: Job Applications open on Monday!
We know many students will be excited to hear that Neighbourhood 1 will begin an Earn and Learn neighbourhood economy this term. This enables Year 3/4 students to actively apply and extend their Numeracy and Literacy skills. The aim is to engage students in buying, budgeting and banking exercises. Earn and Learn also raises many social justice issues as individuals and businesses manage their budgets and determine the value of their contributions or services.
Students who undertake leadership roles or have extra responsibilities within the classroom may decide to negotiate for a pay rise. Also, students who promote the PHPS values with their actions and exceed role expectations will receive bonuses.
Positions with descriptions will be posted on the whiteboard in the Learning Commons. Available roles range from Bankers to Librarians to ICT Managers. Applications need to be in the form of a one page persuasive letter with
reasons and evidence for why they will be great in that job. Job applications are due on Wednesday of Week 2.
