Volunteers needed please!
Next week 3/4 Neighbourhood 2 will be running 2 maths provocations at Princes Park.
Dates: Wednesday 8th of March : 12:15 depart for park 1:45 arrive back at school (just before recess)
Thursday 9th of March : 12:15 depart for park 1:45 arrive back to school (just before recess)

Why are doing maths at Princes Park?
As a learning community of mathematicians, so far this year we have explored properties of 2D shapes, 3D solids, area, perimeter, mapping locations, floor plans and outdoor play structure designs. We would like to explore the possibility of creating a space for a new adventure playground at Princes Park. We will need to calculate the perimeter and area of spaces we choose at the park. We will need to work together in small groups and test out the spaces available. Once we have measured out potential areas (using tape measures, trundle wheels, string, pegs etc) we will begin designing our playgrounds to fit the areas we have measured out.
3/4 Neighbourhood 1 will also be running maths provocations at Princes park : dates to be finalized – stay tuned!
