As part of our inquiry, the Preps have been exploring the different spaces within the neighbourhood. This week, we made a take-home booklet featuring all the different things the Preps’ created in the Art Studio.
The book is a great opportunity to explore reading with your child. Some tips when reading include:
- Discuss the book prior to reading, to give confidence.
- Look at the pictures and draw attention to images that are mentioned in the text (make it a sociable experience).
- Try to not always give the answer, be patient and give your child time to think.
- Celebrate their attempts!
