Learning Focus – Week Eleven

Can you believe the year is coming to an end? This week we will be reflecting on our learning about our big idea, ‘Our world is made up of many parts, which are connected. Understanding this helps us to make decisions.’ We will continue to show our learning through our future designs and share how we have considered what we know about systems in our designs.

We will also be looking towards the future with our transition afternoons on Monday and Wednesday when we will spend some time in our new neighbourhoods.

On Friday, we will have a chance to share our lunch with the neighbourhood at the neighbourhood picnic which will be held on the oval.

In Maths, we will be finishing out mailbox designs and creating floor plans for houses of the future. The children will learn about the formula length x width to calculate area.

In Literacy we will be investigating and hunting for silent letters and using these in our writing. We will complete our Como House retells and write our own recipes like George from our book.
