In numeracy this week the students continued to complete their self-assessments, focusing on the number strand. Many of the students have commented on how this process is helping them to set clear and meaningful goals for themselves and to then find ways of practising their skills on Study Ladder or in the Numeracy Centre (within the Learning Commons area of the Neighbourhood). They also began work on developing their concept of fractions, with an added focus on interpreting and solving multi-step word problems. The students will be continuing to work on developing their understanding of fractions in the coming week.
