As part of an ongoing learning experience, the preps have been involved in a series of workshops where they’ve been building their computer skills with a focus on word processing. We began by exploring their initial understandings of a keyboard and what they already knew.
Following the discussion, the preps engaged in a range of keyboard games, which challenged them in areas such as: letter-sound, word recognition and touch typing.
More recently, the preps have now moved onto microsoft word, where they are transferring their touch typing skills to help them create an invitation to Grandparents Day.
