The preps have experienced wellbeing workshops in a number of ways:
- Teachers creating lessons as we see a point of need in the neighbourhood
- Teaching with Kimochi’s
- Workshops focusing on unpacking our school values
- Learning about feelings through emotive literature.
‘Resilience, rights and respectful relationships’, is a framework for teaching social and emotional learning in schools. It has been developed Department of Education and Training.

Research in the field of positive psychology emphasises the importance of identifying and using individual strengths. Social and emotional learning programs which use strength-based approaches promote student wellbeing, positive behaviour and academic achievement.
