Buongiorno a tutti! Deb and I are very excited to present a trio of Italian musical experiences for all of our students, commencing next week, with La Tarantella! All students will have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural tradition of the Tarantella dance, its origins and significance, with Rosa Voto from the Melbourne School of Tarantella. Years Prep-2 will take part on Monday, 3rd June and years 3-6 on Tuesday, 4th June. Please remind your child/ren to wear suitable dancing shoes (sports shoes) on those days.
An opera singing workshop with Oliver Mann will take place for all students on Monday, 17th June (prep-2) and Tuesday, 18th June (3-6) and our trio of events will culminate in a performance of The Barber of Seville by Opera Australia, on Friday, 2nd August, for the whole school. We look forward to sharing these wonderful Italian musical experiences with our students!
