Over the past few weeks, the Preps have been exploring many different types of counting books and stories that have number concepts embedded. Some have used counting in a story context. Others use numerals and illustrations. We read one that used black and white photographs and included number words, numerals and collections of dots!
The Preps have been busy creating their own counting book (of their choice).
Some examples of different mediums used to create these books are:
- Collage
- Drawing (textas, pencil, oil pastels)
- Water colour
- Collection of objects to photograph
- Plasticine modelling
Here are some examples of the draft/planning. They will be using these plans as a guide to produce a final published copy of their book.
