In the Studio, our exploration of sustainability, seen through the eyes of possums, has been a journey of understanding their habitat in the face of urban development and tree loss. We’ve investigated the impact of deforestation on possums’ natural habitat within the city, using a story map to illustrate our findings. In the process, we’ve emphasised the importance of preserving the possums’ habitat, instilling a sense of urgency and concern.
In the Learning Commons we have embarked on our research projects on Bush Tucker, a crucial step in understanding and preserving our environment. We are creating an information report to present to the class, highlighting the importance of our findings.
In the Performance Space students are designing theme parks. They have created a detailed map with a clear key to assist visitors to find their way around the many themed rides and eating establishments. In the coming weeks students will create an ad for their theme park to persuade the community to come enjoy the fun.
