Week 7 Learning Reflection

Hello parents and carers,

This is our seventh blog post for the year and we really hope you enjoy it. The focus for this week was the Welcome Expo which was a huge success!

Here are some thoughts:

At the Welcome Expo I was feeling excited because I was able to show my lovely mum all the work I have done. (Charlotte)

When I was at the Expo I felt happy because I got to show my mum and dad around the neighbourhood. They said I did a good job. (Evie M)

I was happy because at the Expo because I was able to play on the drums with Deb and some other students. (Felix B)

At the Welcome Expo I felt really happy because I got to show mummy all my artwork and what we have done in the Year 2 neighbourhood. (Evie H)

The Welcome Expo was about welcome. My mum and dad were really proud of what I did. At the school all the neighbourhood had different things to share. (Binderiya)

I felt good because there were lots of really cool and fun exhibits. (Aurelian)

At the Welcome Expo it was really fun because Maddy had put out lots of sports equipment and it looked amazing! In the Prep neighbourhood they had a kitchen set up serving delicious dice pasta. It was very enjoyable. (Gigi)

I felt excited because I wanted to show my mum and dad all my work. (Francie)

In the neighbourhood we have been writing letters to our friends to tell them why they are our friends. This has made them feel really good/awesome. (Aurelian) Giving and receiving letters has contributed to the positive wellbeing of our neighbourhood.

This week our maths challenge was finding different ways of getting to 58. Doing this helped improve our division, multiplication, subtraction and addition. (Iggy) We first wrote our sums in our maths book and then we put them on card so others could see them. (Wilco)

According to Iggy, he went around to different neighbourhoods this week with Charlotte and Nina to tell them about Ride to School Day. (Zoe) Gigi and Edie were in charge of documenting. The feedback from teachers was very positive

Kind wishes for the weekend ahead!
