Week 1 Learning Reflection

Dear lovely parents and carers,

The Year 2 neighbourhood has created a collection of beautiful illustrations inspired and guided by the artist Tai Snaith. We used scrap paper, modelling clay, water colours, glue, broken tiles, pencils and black pens to describe/display/show/present our stunning, interesting and exciting (Sonny D/Theo/Sammy) narratives.

On Thursday morning Tobias (Theo’s awesome/wunderbar papa) came into our neighbourhood to photograph our dramatic illustrations. In order to do this he positioned a large rectangle of white card on the floor. On either side of the card he carefully positioned two synchronised flashes to illuminate the illustration and eliminate Tobias’s shadow. He then skillfully took photographs of 112 illustrations, capably assisted by the Year 2 students.

Thank you (dankeschön) Tobias!

A two week window has opened. Please come quickly (schnell) to the Year 2 neighbourhood to view and admire these creations. Miss it at your peril!

Before we end, we would like to welcome (velkommen) Maia and her whole family from Norway to Princes Hill.
