Our wellbeing focus for this term has been the capability of ‘collaboration.’ Students have been exploring this capability and the value that collaboration adds to our thinking and learning. We understand that much of learning is social but the skills and attributes that are required to be a good collaborator are sometimes a bit tricky!
“Collaboration means working together with someone who can do different things then you can.” – Archer
“Collaboration is important because you make new friends.” – Jeannie
As part of our school wellbeing program we have one workshop each week where we develop our skills and strengthen our connections with each other. These workshops are critical in reflecting on ourselves and discussing things that have happened during the week. It has been fantastic to see the personal growth in each student and we learn and grow together.
This Thursday we have our 3-6 athletics carnival and so our thinking about collaboration now extends to the ideas around being a great supporter. What does this look like and how does being a great support impact our teams successes?
