Hi all,
Our weekly update will be covering a few reminders over the next couple of days until the conclusion of Term 2 and the beginning of Term 3.
First of all, to all of the parents/carers/helpers who generously gave the Year 1 teachers the fantastic fruit and veges boxes – thank you ever so kindly. The Year 1 parents/carers community are just lovely and we feel truly blessed to have such a supportive group in line with your child/ren’s learning.
To those who have helped support us throughout the two terms of the year with incursions, book preparations, programs support and all of the little jobs here and there – we say thank you! Without your support, the teachers would all be only just scraping through the term!
Student Led Conferences:
- If you have not yet booked a conference with your child’s home group teacher, please do so as soon as possible! We don’t want you and your child missing out on sharing the fantastic learning they’ve completed over the first half of the year.
- For those who have booked a conference, check and re-check your times please!
- PLEASE arrive at least 15 minutes before your conference – this always helps with keeping on time with each meeting.
- Each meeting will last for a MAXIMUM of 15 minutes, teachers will remind you and your child when they have a minute left.
- Students will know where to find their portfolios, but if they’ve forgotten, they will be available for collection in the Taurus area.
- If your conference time runs out and you have further questions, we can always organise a time to meet in Term 3.
- Finally, these conferences are a time for your child to celebrate their learning with you, so enjoy the successes they’ve made!
Library:
As we want the students continuing their brilliant ready over the holidays, we are asking all students to please bring their reading journals to school tomorrow and make a final swap of new books to read.
Assembly Friday 28th:
There will be an ‘Active Assembly’ on Friday 28th June at 9:00am in the gym. The assembly will be celebrating the sporting successes of individuals and teams from the first half of the school year. Looking at how students were active during Active April and continue to be active through sport clubs at the school. Dance Club will be doing a performance and we will be taking part in a whole school Macarena!
Lunch for Thursday and Friday:
As both Thursday and Friday are either half days or shorter days, students are still expected to bring something to eat.
No lunch orders tomorrow (27th).
School will finish at 12:00pm for tomorrow (Thursday) and 2:30pm on Friday.
We hope you all have a lovely break and look forward to seeing you all back refreshed for Term 3.
