The Year 1 neighbourhood had a fabulous incursion today with the Polyglot Theatre Company.
The puppetry workshop used the simplest of materials – paper and tape- to make things that add to the exploration of theatrical narrative and play. These materials transform the ideas students have about what is possible. The children explored puppet making and performance, bringing life to their characters through movement. They discussed ways to build environments and landscapes for their puppets. The children found this workshop thoroughly engaging. Not only did it expand their creative thinking, it also provided them with an opportunity to hone their fine motor skills. A big thank you to Tamara and Jamie-Lee for their warmth, enthusiasm and knowledge that they so generously shared with the children.
