A celebration of learning!
On Thursday 27th June, the school will be holding student-led conferences as a part of the assessment and reporting process. This is an opportunity for your child to celebrate learning by showcasing some significant pieces of learning they have produced this semester. Student-Led Conferences take the form of a conversation between the student, their parents and their home-group teacher, allowing students to demonstrate their individual growth, achievements that they are proud of and goals for future learning.
This format allows the students to take ownership of their learning through self-reflection and evaluation, giving them a chance to show parents direct improvement in their own learning. It is also a forum where honest dialogue and feedback between students, parents and teachers to take place and help foster home/school partnerships. Each conference will continue for 15-minutes in your child’s neighbourhood during this day.
You will be able to book these times between 1:00-7:00pm in COMPASS.
Bookings will open at 10am on Wednesday June 12th on a first-come basis.
Instructions of this procedure will be posted on COMPASS next Tuesday June 11th.
