Another busy week ahead for the 3/4 neighbourhoods!
Wellbeing and Camp Preparation
This week our well being focus is on social and collaborative learning. We understand that so much of our learning is done through our connection with each other and this week we are exploring the positives and challenges that come with this.
Project Groups
As we continue working in our small project groups students are going to be learning about how to plan and track the changes they are trying to create. Groups will begin to finalise their plans and begin collecting initial data.
Creating a Book CoverÂ
Now we are finishing our narratives we need some exciting and inviting book covers to go with our texts. Students will be invited to create meaningful and well thought out covers that invite the reader and set the scene.
Spelling Focus
This week we are looking at ways to build our vocabulary. We are looking at starting sounds and then getting a little silly, creating writing pieces using as many of our words as possible!
Math Focus
We will continue to explore place value and how our understanding of place value can help with our mental addition and subtraction.
Student Lead Conference Preparation
With upcoming student led conferences, we are starting to reflect on our learning so far this year. Students are selecting work they are most proud of and collecting and curating their presentations. Students are being challenged to use google slides for their presentations and will be supported to learn how to use the program correctly.
Italian Incursion
This Tuesday also brings the first session of our Italian incursion, we are so excited to take part in this! All outstanding payments must be done through compass by Tuesday start of school in order for your student to participate.
