This week kicks off NAPLAN in the 3/4 neighbourhoods. Year 3’s will be taking four tests over the next two weeks. This year we’re completing the reading, language and math test online just like last year. The writing test is still handwritten.
We are lucky at Princes Hill to have been a leading school who completed NAPLAN online last year without incident and all the teachers are ready to support students through the technology if challenges arise.
Timetables have been displayed in both neighbourhoods so all students taking the tests know when they have each one.
Over the last couple of weeks, all 3/4’s have been looking at example questions and practising the question format, something we know is new for many of our year 3’s.
For parents and guardians at home, you can support your student by encouraging them to try their best and use each test to practice their thinking and problem-solving skills.
We know all students taking the tests will do a great job.
