Last Thursday, the Wurundjeri Project Group ventured into the city and visited the Koorie Heritage Trust to deepen our understanding of ‘how Wurundjeri peoples have changed over time’.
Our guide took us along Birrarung Marr, painting a picture of life before colonisation through stories, artefacts and descriptions of change to the landscape. She was able help us understand how the crossroad between different beliefs and values sparked dramatic changes to the Melbourne area and Kulin nation people. She also help to dispell some myths about way of life before colonisation.
