Ciao a tutti! Here is an update on what’s been happening in Italian around the neighbourhoods. The Prep students have been consolidating their numbers and colour knowledge, whilst exploring fun and engaging songs, games and dances. Students in years one and two have been using their alphabet knowledge to discover new vocabulary and to build their capacity to spell familiar language. They enjoyed using their alphabet knowledge to sing the song: Bingo era il suo nome and to make simple Italian comics.
Students in years 3-6 have expanded their knowledge of Italian adjectives, and have explored the verb essere to write descriptive sentences about themselves and others. They have also been revisiting phrases to ask permission and to order items (especially gelato!) They have greatly enjoyed assessing their learning through games such as angoli and pacman, and online Kahoot quizzes.
