Research Project

This week, the students have been working hard on their research projects.  A big thanks to those parents who have come in and helped so far – your assistance is greatly appreciated!  By the end of the week, we would like to have students complete their research notes – a simple sheet that asks for the date the change occurred and why the change was important.  Below is a copy of Jen’s template that she has filled in for her project.

This was then able to lead to more in-depth research and allow Jen to create her timeline.

As you can see, the idea of the project is to have quite simple, direct information that students have researched and put into their own words. How they present it can be as creative as they like! We ask for parents to jump in and help if their child wishes to do it at home.

We are asking all students to bring in EVERYTHING that they have been working on at home in to school NEXT MONDAY – 21st May.  Students will participate in a share session, showing their small group the work they have done so far. Students will continue to work on their projects for the next few weeks, getting ready for the expo in the final week of school!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to come in and see us in the neighbourhood!
