On Fridays, the preps have been learning to play the djembe with Kofi. The djembe, is a drum from West Africa played with our bare hands. The children have been enjoying the workshops and progressing well on learning a drum arrangement which they will perform to the school community in June. Kofi has also introduced us to the kalimba, a West African finger harp. This week, Kwame has come to teach us a part of a dance routine that we will also perform.
