Ranger Education Program
This week we had our third day of the Ranger Education Program. The learning focus was mammals and wetland environments. The wetland group studied the macro invertebrates that live in wetlands and how they can be used to gauge the overall health of the Royal Park wetland. Fortunately, due to the presence of pollution sensitive species the water was judged to be in good health. The students also learnt how wetlands in Melbourne help filter our storm water before it enters Port Phillip Bay.
The forth and final day of the Ranger Program will be on May 16th in Week 5.
