Our day in the past was a success today, with many students arriving into the neighbourhood this morning in a variety of old-timey attire that would have been worn in the 1850’s, excited to start their day – Tuesday 27th March, 1858.
All students participated in three activities – outdoor games including as hopscotch, marbles, quoits, and a bean bag toss, baking damper in the kitchen, and writing a letter in our 1850’s school house. We finished the day by eating our damper with butter, honey, and jam on the mini oval, followed by looking suitably serious for a group photo. Check back on the blog over the next couple of days while we add more photos from the day!
