This morning our Art Studio was transformed into a photography studio, filled with delicious looking and smelling treats that will be in our neighbourhood cookbook! About half of the neighbourhood got cooking over the weekend and brought in their recipes for the photoshoot, which will be a great addition alongside students’ drawings for their recipe.
Everyone was excited to see the food that people brought in, and work with Carlos, our professional photographer (and Fynn’s dad), to help him to light and shoot the dishes. All the students who were at school today had a chance to see Carlos in action as part of a small group and help out. Carlos kindly showed students how to take photographs with his camera, and how to use his other equipment to provide lighting for the shoot. Fynn was a brilliant photographer’s assistant, helping Meredith to get students’ food ready for the shoot and organize groups of students to come into the studio.
Thank you to all the students, parents, grandparents, carers, and everyone else who helped prepare the dishes for today, and a massive thank you to Carlos, who volunteered to take photographs for our cookbook. We are all so appreciative of the opportunity to see a professional photograph in action. And we can’t wait to see the photographs!
