The year two neighbourhood have just started their third week of buddies! All of the students have shown great pleasure in getting to know their new buddies and they have all made a great effort with each other.
Before we announced this weeks buddies, we asked the students to reflect on their experiences.
Kitty commented that ‘it was nice to sit with a new person at lunch. Now I have some new people to play with if someone is away!’
Morgan says that she is ‘getting to know new people who I don’t normally play with/talk to’.
Myki reflected that he was ‘a bit nervous meeting my new buddy, but then I got to know him’.
Yvette says that she ‘gets a buzzy feeling when I think about my new buddy’.
Thomas.B commented that he was ‘ a bit worried when I found out who my new buddy was, but everything turned out okay’.
