Our fellow prep student, Alessia, is in hospital at the moment, so the preps decided to write messages to cheer her up. We thought about some good sentences that might make her feel better, and the students had a go at writing some key words. It was a wonderful example of authentic purpose for writing. We put all our messages together and made a book out of it!
Today I visited Alessia at the hospital and presented the “Dear Alessia” book to her. She was feeling much better and was delighted to receive all our warm and fuzzy words! Well done everyone! We wish Alessia all the best and hope she comes back to our neighbourhood soon!
