Over the past few weeks, we have been investigating plant systems. We have looked at the life cycle of a plant, what plants need to survive, photosynthesis and parts of the plants we eat. We are going to start exploring where our food comes from and also the dependence on plants and animals for our survival.
We are asking students to keep a log of the food that they eat over the next week – for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We will send home a table on Wednesday for the students to fill out. The idea of the log is for the students to develop an awareness of where their food comes from and have an understanding of the difference between fresh and processed food.
