It is Week 3 next week .. here’s what’s coming up!
In Numeracy we are continuing with equivalent fractions. We have been sharing ‘cookies’ among different amounts of people and learning how to record the fractions that come from it.
“When we share 24 cookies with 3 people they each get 8 cookies each”
1/3 of 24 = 8.
In Literacy, we are looking at the persuasive text genre and developing arguments and reasons to support ones opinion.
In the inquiry we are investigating change over time through projects about ‘Transport’, ‘Games and Toys’ and ‘Housing and the Local Area’.
These groups were arrived at after analysis of student discussions from the excursion to the museum.
